Do I need to notify my homeowner's insurance company? +

No, you are not required to notify your personal homeowner's insurance. Our Aquastar Shield coverage is primary, meaning it responds first to any covered claim. Your personal policy remains unaffected by hosting activities. However, you may choose to inform your insurer as a courtesy - this is entirely up to you.

What happens if someone gets injured in my pool? +

In the rare event of an injury, our $5M general liability coverage protects you. All Aquastar instructors are trained in emergency response and carry their own professional liability coverage. Report any incident immediately to our 24/7 hotline, and we'll guide you through the process. In 3+ years of operation, we've never had a host liability claim.

Is my pool equipment covered if it gets damaged? +

Yes, our $100,000 property damage coverage protects your pool equipment, deck, fencing, and landscaping from damage caused by Aquastar guests or instructors. This includes pumps, filters, heaters, pool covers, and surrounding structures. Normal wear and tear is not covered.

Does coverage apply to all three service types? +

Absolutely! Whether you're hosting swim lessons (Educate), birthday parties (Celebrate), or ICBC rehab sessions (Heal), you're fully covered under the same Aquastar Shield policy. Each service type has the same $5M liability protection.

What if an instructor makes a mistake during a lesson? +

All Aquastar instructors carry their own $2M professional liability insurance. This covers instruction-related incidents and errors. Our general liability provides additional protection, ensuring multiple layers of coverage for complete peace of mind.

Is there a deductible I have to pay? +

For most claims, there is no deductible for hosts. Aquastar covers the deductible as part of our commitment to host protection. In rare cases involving property damage claims over $10,000, a $500 deductible may apply, but this is clearly communicated before any claim is processed.

Does coverage extend to my family members? +

Yes, the Aquastar Shield policy covers you, your spouse or partner, and any family members living in your household in their capacity as hosts. Personal injuries to family members are covered under your personal health insurance, not the liability policy.

What if I want additional coverage? +
