How to get started?
Create account & submit a 30-minute assessment
Create an account, choose the instructor that best fits your child’s needs, and book a 30-minute assessment with us.
Submit your service invoice to AFU & get approved!
We’ll send you an estimate, and if you approve, we’ll issue the invoice so you can submit it to the AFU portal for approval.
Select your swim service & therapist
If you’re happy with the 30-minute assessment, you can continue by selecting the service package that works best for you.
Once approved, you can book your first therapy session with us now!
Once AFU approves, we’ll start booking sessions with the therapist you selected. We’re here to support you every step of the way.

How to be qualify for Autism Funding?
To qualify for government autism funding, your child must be assessed and diagnosed at a registered location.

What documents do I need to be prepare for the Autism Funding?
On the Autism Funding website, you’ll find a list of documents needed to complete your application. Be sure to follow each step carefully. If you have any questions, you can contact the Autism Funding team for help with paperwork or the application process:

How does funding works?
After your assessment, you’ll receive full pricing for the recommended services. Our therapy is one-on-one to help your child adapt in the water.
- Choose the package you want and we’ll issue an invoice for you to upload to the AFU portal.
- AFU usually takes a few weeks to review; once approved, funds are applied to our retainer so your sessions are covered.
We’ve helped many AFU families and consistently see positive results.
How much funding is available?
Funding helps families pay for services that promote skill development for their child – communication, social-emotional, academic and life skills. Only specific services and therapies qualify for funding.
Children under age six – Up to $22,000 per year for each child may only be used for:
- Professionals listed on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP)
- Behaviour interventionists (BI) who are supervised by a RASP professional
- Administrative costs related to managing service providers, up to $100 monthly (e.g. paying a bookkeeper)
- Costs related to employing a service provider – for example, vacation pay, income tax, Canada Pension Plan or Employment Insurance benefits, and WorkSafeBC premiums
- Family counselling/therapy
Children age 6 to 18 – Up to $6,000 per year for each child can be used for:
- Behaviour consultants or analysts, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists or physical therapists
- Behaviour interventionists (BI) (should be supervised by a professional listed above)
- Life skills and social skills programs
- Out-of-school learning support that’s not part of a regular school program – for example, support and tutoring that takes places outside of school hours, speech-language therapy, or behaviour consultation
- Dietary counselling from a registered dietician
- Family counselling/therapy
- Specialized therapeutic activities and camps designed for children with autism
- Interventions outlined in a letter of recommendation from an eligible professional (written pre-approval from the Autism Funding Branch is recommended)
- Administrative costs related to managing service providers – up to $50 monthly to pay a bookkeeper or $600 per funding period for direct payment of accountant fees
- Costs related to employing a service provider – for example, vacation pay, income tax, Canada Pension Plan or Employment Insurance benefits, and WorkSafeBC premiums

Does it expires?
No — your AFU funding with us won’t expire.
Once funding is locked in, you may schedule lessons whenever it suits you. We recommend 1–2 therapy sessions per week so the swimmer and therapist can build water safety, confidence, and steady progress.
