Swim Lessons
What to expect in my swim lessons?
Answer:
Each AQUA S.T.A.R. reservation guarantees the instructor for one full hour. During the course of a standard hour-long lesson, the instructor will go over objectives, have the students practice, and provide constructive feedback. Instructors will travel to their students’ homes or other meeting places early or at least a few minutes early so that they have time to change and get settled in before the scheduled lesson time.
Any swimming techniques that can help your client reach their objectives should be included in your lesson. Your clients may ask you to provide them feedback based on the criteria of the program for which you have been trained.
Can the lesson be shorten?
Answer:
Clients often inquire about the possibility of shorter than hour-long classes of 30 or 45 minutes. Since we are so confident in the quality of our teaching and the progress our students make, we require a one-hour minimum for all lessons.
If parents are concerned that an hour will be too lengthy for their children’s swimming lessons, they may always bring along a friend and divide the class in half.
If a client bought a plan but didn't add a swimmer, can they join?
Answer:
AQUA S.T.A.R. requires all clients to bring a friend or family member along for the swim before to subscribing to a plan or signing up for individual lessons. let us know ahead of time if you plan on taking someone with you for the swim.
The AQUA S.TA.R. instructor maintains the right to deny the extra swimmer if the appointment has displayed only one participant instead of two, and the plan was not paid with the additional swimmer.
If more than two swimmers attend a lesson, what happens?
Answer:
Even if they take turns or divide the time, more than two students cannot take part in a lesson. Please inform your client that we are only able to accommodate a maximum of two students in the event that they come with more than two. Now you may go on to coaching your first pair of students.
What if the water is chilly when I'm in the middle of my lesson?
Answer:
There are two possible explanations for water that seems chillier than usual:
- Cold, but tolerable; finish the lesson and notify management; we’ll have it fixed in time for the next lesson. The client will not get a refund or credit for unused lessons.
- If the temperature is extremely cold, you must cancel the class immediately and advise the client that they will be refunded. Then, please let our management know about the issue by filing a report.
